The Person Behind the Flowers....

Hi, I'm Sarah, owner of Vine & Stem. Thanks so much for taking the time to learn more about my business and me. I always struggle with stuff like this, but I'll give it a go so you get to know me and if I'm the right florist for you! You might think I'm slightly mad, but here goes nothing.

Where to start... I worked in the NHS for years and decided to retrain as a florist in 2022. It started as a night-time course at Sunderland College and before you know it, I was booking myself onto a career-changing course with Cambridge Flower School. I decided to set up V&S and do it alongside my full-time job (which was a lot!), and then I took the plunge and went full-time florist at the end of 2023. I'm heading into my second year of weddings and I love it!

I love all things flowers, being creative, celebrating love and helping people to make floral dreams a reality!

I work from my home studio in Heighington, just outside Darlington. I live with my husband, son, and we have 2 dogs (a beagle and a retriever for the dog lovers out there).
